Facilitating a Circle and Creating Shared Expecations
The following is taken from Patrick Carney's book "Well Aware: Developing Resilient, Active, and Flourishing Students" (2015), and help to give some further suggestions regarding creating a "contract" or "governing agreement" in the creation of Circle expectations:
    - one person has the floor at a time; the others listen thoughtfully
-out of respect, what is discussed in the circle stays in the circle. (The circle has to remain safe for everyone to share their voice and opinions)
    - all students are expected to make a contribution at check in, but students have the option of passing when sharing ideas
    - not everyone will have the same opinion, and that's okay
we all benefit when we respect, appreciate, and celebrate our differences
we respond to each other's ideas with a meaningful comment
